Is (Was) It Luck?

If you trip and fall, before you say you have bad luck, why not just check if your shoelaces were untied or whether you simply missed a rock or something in your way. Does it have to be ‘bad luck’ or could it just be a mistake?

Similarly, why do people say “you’re so lucky (good luck), you always get what you want …” instead of recognising that you might have actually worked hard for the things you have? Is it difficult to believe that there is preparation & execution behind success and fortune?

I have been thinking about this for a while. Well, let me say the thoughts recently resurfaced. And with the idea in mind that since 3 June 2019 (almost 2 years ago) when I first touched on this topic, I have grown and developed as a human being, I wanted to revisit my initial thoughts and maybe elaborate on them more clearly.

We tend to use luck to explain things we either agree or disagree with. It’s easy to throw the word luck around just as a quick, ‘let’s-move-on’ statement, I think either to pass time or the explanation is just too long or we do not want to share.

It is not always possible to explain everything. Maybe some things are just are as they are and maybe as they should be. So let us unpack what we can and figure it out together. Sound good?

I want to go through the concept of bad luck. Then I want to go through the idea of good luck. I want to see where it all takes me, if it takes me anywhere at all. Let us watch this video together. It was the trigger into me revising my thoughts, along with other conversations I have had along the way, but one thing at a time.

  1. Totally true, we blame certain events on luck and the really religious ones call bad luck “a lesson from God” and good luck “a blessing from God”

  2. I’ve been surfing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like
yours. It’s pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all webmasters and bloggers
made good content as you did, the internet will be much
    more useful than ever before.

  3. Lol I’m not quite sure to be honest because there are other events in life that happen and are unexplainable which is why I think that’s where the term lucky came from but just like any other term or word as we evolve we tend to misuse this misunderstand the original meaning or what it stands for honestly.. but still unsure
