I could use something sweet

This past week I have been really craving a lot of sweetness. I am a born again sucker for anything sweet to tickle my taste buds and touch my heart. Don’t get me wrong, a good salty treat is good for the soul now and again but a girl’s got preferences.

If you think I am only talking about food then you are half right. If you ever feel like buying a chocolate, sweet and/or (cup)cake for someone, think of me 🙂 Anyways, I am a sucker for sweet gestures and sweet words.

I just believe that the world would be a better, sweeter place if we did more of these things for one another. A kind word can go a long way for someone who is feeling like the world is against them and that they don’t feel like they beling in it.

Some of my learners make my day almost every day with their kind words and actions towards me. I’ve had a few even buying my chocolates or sharing a muffin with me. To think that most come from difficult backgrounds and they can show up to be so sweet.

“No one is born hating … People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.”

— Nelson Mandela

Not so long ago a stranger walked past me in the street, and randomly said, “You’ve got pretty toes.” My response was, “I do not think so, but thank you.” I guess not being used to having someone actually compliment my toes, my statement sounds negative at first. Then on a different day a parking attendant out of nowhere decided to bless me and all my endearvours in life. How sweet, a total stranger whom he might never see again

This is how life should be as often as possible. Random acts of sweetness because we could all use some sweetness in our lives.

Thank you everyone! Wishing you a sweet week!
